Hydra was training to become a policeman when his mutant abilities started emerging.  At first he just used his gifts to shoot to the top of the class of his local Martial Arts Dojo, but soon surpassed his teachers as well as his peers.   He realized that he had changed, but had yet to realize the scope.

Then once accosted by several gang members, finding himself outnumbered and wishing for help, he suddenly found himself outnumbering the gang members as multiple versions of himself appeared.   Aided by his other selves, he made short work of the gang.  

Later he became Hydra in an attempt to help his community of Freedom City as he had originally planned.  He later became an instructor at his dojo, keeping his true potential a secret. Frequently a single copy of himself is left on the job while Hydra is out.

He is an alert fighter, and is very useful at canvassing a large area.

He was first seen in Freedom City by Team Lazarus fighting a number of zombies...

Hydra was intended as an NPC, but has evolved into a periodic PC as players who would like to join in come by at Xavian's.
