About the Author:  (or in other words – the WHO AM I? Page)

My name is Mark Brinkman.  I’m 40 years old, born in Kansas, and now living in Duluth Georgia, with my wife Anne and our dog Scout.  I make my living as a Systems Analyst/ Programmer.   For the last several years, I’ve made my living working with Cyborg Payroll systems, first for the City of Wichita, and then later for my present employer Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Formerly Egleston’s Children’s Hospital.)  I’m currently doing a variety of programming work for them.  I’m a long time fan of Science Fiction, Star Trek, various Comic books, Role-playing games, video games, and computer games.  I’m a little bit of an amateur author, as my work on RPG campaigns and characters can attest.  Who knows?  (The Picture here was taken at Busch Gardens Williamsburg last August of 1999.  I used to call this my Y2K bunker shot…)

My wife Anne, (of 16 years and going), is in the Hotel Industry, currently working for Marriott Hotels in downtown Atlanta, doing her best to help them keep the books straight and the money flowing.   Here she is from that same trip to Busch Gardens -  (Don’t think she was too happy with me snapping this action shot… Oh well.)

Then of course there is our pet Schipperke, Scout.  She is  10 years (and still going).  Here she is depicted with my Father-in-Law, Neil Gregerson.  This shot was taken during a trip back to Overland Park, Kansas on Thanksgiving of 1999.

More recent shots are included here.  Scout hasn't been doing so well as I write this (Sept 16, 2002), and just had a visit with the Vet which seemed to be rather grim, saying she had cancer.  She's rebounded some, and Anne and I have our fingers crossed.
