| Background | I'm a product of an illegal lab
experiment to come up with an intelligent humanoid plant. I was
their only success before the lab was closed down. I was spared -
an innocent victim. I've known no parents, my only memories before
of a few lab coated botanists. Only one of them ever talked TO
me. And that was only briefly. I was never given a
name save that on my experiment file: X-612 Homo Sandburr longspinus.
I'm maturing physically slowly by human standards, hence my size. I'm 10 years old and small for my age. I probably won't be physically adult for the better part of a couple decades yet. The experts say that I should live for centuries. I don't sleep and have used that time to learn, earning a GED in the process. I had to get myself legally declared an adult so that I could file the papers necessary to register as a hero. Now I fight the good fight for one and all. I fit in better with the heroes where my uniqueness is less a matter. And they've helped me develop socially , including a sense of humor. |
| Notes | I made this character a while
back - one of several experimental characters. I got the idea for
him after seeing a small spine character with spines popped and noticed
how much it reminded me of these pesky sandburs we used to have back in
Kansas. Recently when going thru all my characters during the
Celebrant badge period (May 2005), I rediscovered the character. I
had barely got him from 6 to 7 when I was approached by a 49th level
character to be a stand in -- a place holder. He wanted to level
up against larger numbers of opponents. As long as I and others
kept our place for an hour he would pay us 500K influence. It
worked and I managed to do 2 hours that way. Add to that a 3rd similar
stint by someone else, and a level 50 character giving away influence to
celebrate hitting the max cap, and the character has had OVER 1 million
influence for most of his character life. Which is completely
unheard of normally.
The funds have made him a fast rising character by far. The spine character is FUN to play, and I've put on an extensive set of macros to facilitate comments by the character. He's got a friendly rivalry with Supergroup leader Undead Cyborg, as well as several other members, which is driving all of us to level. Currently I've been bobbing up and down at the top. |
